Diamond Jubilee of St Thomas Apostolic Seminary and Ruby Jubilee of Paurastya Vidyapitham

The Jubilee celebrations of the Seminary and the PVP began with the solemn concelebration of Holy Qurbana. Very Rev. Dr. Scaria Kanniyakonil, the Rector of the Seminary, was the main celebrant. Rev. Dr. Andrews Mekkattukunnel, the President of PVP, reminisced about the history of the Institute and the Seminary in the sermon.

The Inaugural Meeting was conducted on-line via Google Meet, due to the COVID pandemic restrictions. The meeting began at 10.00 am. Fr. Rector welcomed the guests. His Beatitude George Cardinal Alencherry, the Major Archishop of the Syro Malabar Church and the Chancellor of Paurastya Vidyapitham gave the inaugural address.

The members of the Seminary council, His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt (Chairman), His Grace Mar Antony Karyil and His Excellency Mar Joseph Kallarangatt,  also addressed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Andrews Mekkattukunnel gave the vote of thanks.

The online session ended by 12.30 pm with the Apostolic blessing by His Beatitude.
