Forty deacons after completing their priestly formation, stepped out of the seminary. The send off meeting was arranged on November 6, Saturday. In the morning, Rev. Fr. Pauly Maniyattu, the animator of the deacon’s batch celebrated the Holy Qurbana and specially kept in mind the cherishing memories of the deacons in the homily. In the evening during Ramsa, the deacons lighted the lamps comemmorating the ancient liturgical tradition of the Lucernarium, which was a blessing moment.

After the Ramsa, there was the send off gathering and dinner arranged in the auditorium. Third year theologians co-ordinated the entire programme. Rev. Fr. Scaria Kanniyakonil, the Rector of the seminary welcomed all to the meeting. Rev. Fr. Andrews Mekkattukunnel, the President of Paurastya Vidyapitham, greeted them all the blessings and well wishes in their priesthood. The occasion was made more pleasant with a song by Bro. Nohin Charuvila Puthenveed.

On behalf of the brothers of the seminary, Bro. Freddy Peringamalayil said a felicitation to the beloved deacons. Rev. Dn. Thomas Thoppurath from the part of the deacons sang a beautiful song. Reverend fathers gifted each of the deacons a small present from the Alma Mater. Rev. Dn. Jence Palachuvattil thanked all for the prayers and blessings. Bro. Aneesh Purackal thanked all who gathered there and the send-off ceremony was ended with a prayer session.
